Germany’s Federal Ministry of Transport has launched a new funding programme for electric buses. The scheme will support the procurement of around 1,500 battery-electric and fuel cell buses. However, operators will no longer receive funding covering 80 per cent of the additional costs compared to diesel buses. The funding rate will decrease.
